By Air

The closest airports to Beyt Dwarka are Jamnagar Airport (145 km) and Rajkot Airport, both well-connected to major cities in India, providing easy access for travelers.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Okha. From Okha Station, take the sudarshan setu bridge to Beyt Dwarka. Our campsite is just 5 km from the bridge.

By Road

To reach Beyt Dwarka by road, travel 31 km from Dwarka to Okha, then take a short 2 km ferry ride to the island. This journey, filled with beautiful coastal views, is an unforgettable experience. With the newly constructed Sudarshan Setu Bridge, you can also cross directly to Beyt Dwarka by road, bypassing the ferry ride. The 2.3 km bridge provides a smooth and direct route to the island.

Beyt Dwarka also known as Shankhodhar, is an island located 2 Kms from Okha reachable by ferry sea bridge .

Mythology : Beyt Dwarka was the location of Lord Shri Krishna’s residential Palace. The Island is considered to be the place where Krishan got a gift(Beyt) from his childhood friend Sudama. Beyt Dwarka is also mentioned as Antardvip in Mahabharata.

History : Beyt Dwarka was a part of Gaikwad Kingdom who only lost it once in the 1857 revolt to the Vaghers but then, got it back from them. Several artifacts dating back to Harappan age and Mauryan empire have been unearthed at Beyt Dwarka. Several Shipwrecks around Beyt Dwarka points towards trade relation with Roman Empire.
